Nancy Astor and Nancy Lancaster were brought up at Mirador, the Langhorne family house in Virginia, which was known for its superb food. The recent discovery of the original recipes from the Mirador kitchens, together with handwritten receipts from Cliveden, Ditchley Park and Haseley Court, provides the basis for the book.
